Silky ant colony (Formica fusca)

Here you will find our changing range of fusca ant colonies. Formica fusca is also known as the gray-black runner ant. They are known for their enormous speed and are mainly found in forests. Queens of the red wood ant often hijack a small colony of ants to start a colony. That is why the gray-black runner ant is also called the slave ant.
