During molting, insects hang downwards. The 34 cm height provides essential vertical space, helping prevent deformities and improving survival rates.

Smart ventilation system

Ventilation on two sides and in the lid ensures continuous fresh airflow while removing humid, stagnant air. A heating cable can easily be placed underneath the base if needed.

Each BioDome is carefully handcrafted in the Netherlands from precision laser-cut acrylic. Due to this artisanal production and bonding process, subtle stress patterns may be visible in the bonded edges, sometimes referred to as crazing.

These fine line structures are a natural characteristic of high-quality acrylic that has been precision bonded and are an inherent part of the manufacturing process. They do not affect the strength, durability, or functionality of the terrarium.

As with other handcrafted products, these subtle variations contribute to the unique character of every BioDome.
