Messor barbarus 1-4
The Messor barbarus ant also called the harvest ant. She becomes the gathering (grass) seeds. These seeds they chew fine and vemengen them with moisture. For example, "harvest" the seeds them into a kind of bread ants, which serves as a power supply. Our ant colonies consist of a queen with brood and several workers. This number depends on the number of eggs that developed into ant (egg-larva-pupa-ant). This colony has been 1 to 4 workers and the workers are thus handled by the queen ant itself.
The power set above including seed is a complete diet for this species. The set consists of sugar water, honeydew, fruit flies and a starter seeds. The starter seeds is enough for the first year.
The ant colony is intended for the ant farms of acrylic, gypsum and sand. We also recommend the use of an arena. The ants there can get their nourishment and bringing waste. Many products have integrated an arena. For the first time the tube has enough room for the colony. On several Ant Farms You can find these ant colony in a back combination offer price.
Find your ants to a gel ant farm, we recommend the ant family.

in Southern Europe. You can find them there in gardens, parks and
forest areas. With patience you can put them in an ant

particularly interesting because of their food (seeds). They have
space needed to store the seeds and use thereby
they soon more nesting space than other ant species.
- Also come in larger mediors and Majors colonies.
Larger ants that protect the job (soldiers) have.
- Messor colonies develop faster than the average
Most species from the Netherlands. In the Ant Farms grow
them out into colonies of hundreds or a few thousand ants.
Do you want it bigger, then of course you can always stay extra
